Old Time Radio Podcast Survey Results
We want to thank everyone who has filled out our podcast survey.
We do read the results, and now you can. We will only update this
page occassionally, so don't expect your comments to appear immediately
(or even within a few weeks, if you really want us to notice a concern
of yours use the contact us page.
We have 600-700 subscribers to our podcast each week. I don't know
if that is good, bad, or somewhere in-between, but it is waaaay more
than we ever expected. When I do the podcasts, I feel like Dr. Johnny
Fever (a DJ) in an episode of WKRP in Cincinnati where he freezes
on air when he realizes that people are actually listening to him.
I could be afraid of dating myself by making a WKRP reference, but
thanks to the survey, I realize that 80% or more of our audience knows
what WKRP is.

11/09/2006 Reasonably good audio quality and a great vintage production
11/02/2006 The ability easily and cheaply obtiona and hear old radio
shows on my MP3 player
09/10/2006 The host segments are cleanly attached to the bulk of the
show. They're also to the point, relevant and don't wast time bloviating
on inane opinions or whining diatribes. The host I've heard also has
a good speaking voice with excellent pronunciation.
08/13/2006 Listening to a radio show I enjoyed as a kidl
08/08/2006 The Blue Beetle episodes
08/07/2006 I love the old Superman radio dramas. Best thing on the
Web.

07/29/2006 The different types of material
07/27/2006 variety of shows. shows posted frequently.
07/19/2006 Choice of show and informative introduction.
07/13/2006 The fact that all of these are in order and that they come
out quite frequently, almost as if it was in the 1940's.
07/11/2006 That it contains entire radio programs.
07/11/2006 The Superman files
07/10/2006 variety of episodes
06/14/2006 Subject matter.
06/13/2006 Everything

05/24/2006 Old time Radio
05/24/2006 I am a fan of Old time radio programs and subscribe to
a number of OTR podcasts. I enjoy ones that have some commentary and
background on the program to give me some idea of the social context
of the program.

12/28/2006 not
12/28/2006 Nothing! It's perfect they just need to make more of them!!!
11/27/2006 since i am relatively new to podcasting, i have no real
basis of comparison.
11/14/2006 um...the adds? But I can deal with them, it's how I found
the site.
11/12/2006 The length of each episode: very short - perhaps two at
time?
11/09/2006 A few of the episodes had audio problems when downloaded
11/02/2006 No libary of shows
09/10/2006 Nothing to speak of.
08/13/2006 What's not to like?
08/08/2006 the westerns
08/07/2006 There's nothing not to like.
08/02/2006 Unable to download some of the free episodes.
08/01/2006 The host rambles too much. I like the facts of the show.
But get on with it.
07/29/2006 Nothing
07/27/2006 when an episode is aired that is part of a series or has
more than one part the sequel/other parts are not played also.
07/13/2006 No Complaints
07/11/2006 The lack of an archive with the MP3s listed
07/10/2006 host audio in the beginning not of same quality as episode
06/14/2006 Short programs. Frequency of updates.
05/26/2006 Too many murder dramas!
05/26/2006 I have noticed changes on the order of commentary and the
episode. What would make more sense to me would have the commentary
before the program and you secret society code etc. after the episode.
It is just an idea. One thing that I do think you need to improve
is the quality of your microphone. A pop filter alone would be a big
improvement.
05/26/2006 Would like MORE episodes!
